I saw a suggestion/rumor that the third floor of the Nordstrom at Galleria Dallas is pretty empty. Can anyone confirm or clarify what is going on there? Galleria Dallas in general seems to be struggling...

When Nordstrom said that they would make adjustments to their business model I didn't imagine them closing stores permanently... this is so very distressing. Sixteen of their stores will be closed in New Jersey. What will happen to the employees?

We do not have many options here in Anchorage - now, I hope they will not close but I also hope other companies will come here and open locations.

This was such a nonsense closing in my humble opinion. Out of all the bad Nordstrom stores out there, this one just didn't deserve to be closed. It was perfectly fine and I still don't know why they had to cut Redondo Beach...

I'm happy that Nordstrom took the criticism they had online to heart and they have revitalized many of their older stores. Just because a store is old doesn't mean it needs to close, just freshen up a bit.

Nordstrom is still a pretty busy store even today. It really is one of the more popular stores in the area which is just impressive. Almost a decade of business and they never started to get stale after a while.

I hope not. It's the holiday season, after all. It would ruin the mood if something like this would happen. I know holiday season layoffs is common in the corporate world but I would like that to not happen either.

Nordstrom in Braintree closed. Permanently, at that. It's a bitter thing to have a store of this size close so suddenly like it did.

The company won't survive the next decade if it doesn't stop sitting on its butt and do some changes around here. They need to clean up upper management for starters. Next, lower prices. Nobody has money like they used to anymore.

Sadly it's true. Nordstrom seems to not be able to handle certain stores (like the ones in Canada) so they think it's better to close them then continue to mismanage them. Those stores include the San Francisco ones. That's just sad.

I know they were cutting staff and reducing hours - some time ago work for Nordstrom's was prestigious and you would be able to work there all your life - not any more - times are changing and more and more people are shopping online

Good store, good people, I hope they keep them and they do not end up being laid off...
