Thread regarding Sears

After more than 40 years of being open, Sears in the Staten Island Mall has shuttered

This is the world we live in. You must keep up with the changing times and reinvent yourself, otherwise you as a company won't be able to stay afloat in this current retail climate. Very sad. The Staten Island Mall lost one of their best stores.

I love when people post parroting phrases that they themselves couldn't compartmentalize or explain in any depth or context....

"This is the world we live in. You must keep up with the changing times and reinvent yourself, otherwise you as a company won't be able to stay afloat in this current retail climate."

This is not true. At all. There are tons of stores around that keep their same structure and business model and survive year after year.

The idea that a company fails because people have more shopping choices is against every rule of economics.
