Thread regarding Denny's in Little Rock

Why are so many Denny's restaurant's closing?

This is like an epidemic right now, with a ton of stores closing all the time. I know this one in Little Rock is still opened but many Denny's Restaurants have been closed in last year or so. I know that things are not going that well but I would never suspect that the end is going to come so quick. I worked at Denny's in the 90s and things were good and they were opening stores, not closing them.

If you are looking for good indicators if a store will be closed, just look at what's happening every Sunday morning, if a restaurant can have a decent number of customers at that time, all will be fine.

In the past few months it seems like they have changed their menu. I believe people like consistency. I used to go there for the country fried steak but they changed the gravy to something that has a lot of pepper or something in it. They also changed the potatoes from a traditional mashed to something with red skins then to top it off, I can no longer get the whole cornel corn. they now have creamed corn with what I think are papers in them. I always got the same thing and now that it isn't the same, I will quit going there.

they are closing because they are awful whoever is doing the cooking can't cook now how can anyone ruin breakfast? Trust me they can I just met a friend for breakfast there her choice to meet there and why? because they owed her a free breakfast because the one she paid for was so bad. Warning never agree to a repeat of what was awful the first time it will not improve and please do not inflict it upon friends. I went first when ordering I asked do you still use real butter.....um no she said but they may have butter chips....now what are butter chips well they are separate real butter pats ok good that will do. I ordered a double order of grilled potatoes, a biscuit, and pancakes. I got an inedible biscuit hard and crusty on the outside and gooey on the inside I put butter pats on it.... it was gross, potatoes looked good, but the hot sauce they served was old and fermented, sickening. I ate the pancakes there were two they looked awful they were ragged around the edges and sprinkled liberally with black crumbs, apparently something burned on the grill leaving burnt crumbs but instead of cleaning the area they cooked pancakes over it so there they were very unappetizing looking but still edible....ugh the cost $9.30 and of course a tip for the poor waitress I would be embarrassed to serve that to a starving animal. This why Denny's in Queensbury gets poor business and why Denny's in general are disappearing!

Why are Denny's restaurants closing?

Simple: They Are Obsolete! Quality is not there.

Because they have an old and outdated menu. Nobody wants to eat there any more. The only folks who go there are the folks who want to save money.
