Thread regarding Sears in Sierra Vista

The rumor on the street is that this Sears will be closed in 2017

Not sure how reliable this is - maybe some of the employees can chime in - Sears has had a ton of problems lately, I used to shop there as a kid... Not any more, this store is not well supplied.

I hate working here most days, because you get treated like c-ap by some of the Managers. They have no respect for associates and they run in clicks around there. There is one Soupervisor that is awesome and she trys to stay so positive about the store. She will talk to anyone and she helps everyone, I love working for her, she is everywhere in he store. But hours are dropping, we have not enough cashiers to cover our cashwraps, and members get upset. when I started working there I had 30 to 35 hours, now Im lucky if I work 2 days a week. I heard that half our building is up for rent, but then so is one in Phoenix. Alot of long time employees have left and say its just not worth it anymore. Too many back stabbing and lying people hold the reigns now, It really needs something new in that building, and they have already gotten rid of three TOP EXECs in the company trying to gain back 1.25 billion dollars, with 400 full time positions being taken down to Brick and Mortar....

This Sears has been having problems for awhile now. New manager, high turnover, favortism , no one likes what is going on there and hence they are all leaving. They have taken electronics away, which actually made money for this store. Their Mexico business had dropped way down and they dont even have enough people to staff the building properly, and they are loosing alot of hours for the employees. who wants to work 3 to 5 hrs a week. They should just get on with closing it down, although half the building is up for rent, just like in Phoenix.....matter of time....
