First of all I email the Corporate office on more than one occasion concerning their Over Priced Lettuce and Soup. I mean really...come on it's only lettuce, vegetable's, a little pasta, and sides. Not worth $11.99 per person and in most peoples opinion is a bit Steep. I can go to a Sit down Restaurant where they wait on you, and you get soup or salad and some Restaurants give Soup and salad plus your main course of some Protein and still cost under $11.99 per person. Their problem is that they OVER PRICED themselves right out of Business. Think about it. What they were paying for the amount of vegetables, lettuce, pasta, and the sides they were selling was very minimal...Trust me I know. I was in the Restaurant business and the food costs is between 10-15% of their expenses and everything they make over that is Pure profit. They got Greedy and Gouged their customers until they finally put their foot down and quit patronizing the Sweet Tomatoes Chain stores in Illinois.

I have been going to the Raleigh sweet Tomatoes every wednesday for over 15 years, along with a group of 3-8 others. We love the place! We love the staff. We like the food just fine! the prices have been rising, but the cost of produce is not getting any lower. sorry to see you go!!!
Pure profit? What about employee wages, taxes, rent, utilities, supplies, licences, etc. etc. Those cost money, too. If you were in the restaurant business, you were no manager, that's for sure! This is one of my favorite restaurants. It was always clean and the food was always good. I'm sorry it's closing.
