The Bon-Ton stores have way too many sales and coupons. They do not follow their own policies on returns. As a sales associate, I have been forced to take returns of worn merchandise, clothing that customers have damaged and then returned as if it was damaged when purchased, brands that we sell, but not the actual item that is being returned, etc.
The Bon-Ton coupons are a nightmare as customers have found that they only need to call for a manager to get whatever deal they want. Managers always side with the customer in front of the associates which is demoralizing, since we are trying to follow store policy. Just this week I had the store manager take back an item that had been purchased 3 years ago!! Less sales and coupons would gradually return the stores to profitability.
