I know all the stores are gone now, at least physically, but the fact that NY is gone now makes me infinitely sad. It was the best store out of the bunch.

Has Canyon closed temporarily (meaning it will be back up and running again one day or hopefully soon) or is it closed now permanently (meaning it's done for)?

I think the closing isn't temporary even if it says so online. It looks permanent to me.

They had some cute summer designs on sale. It's a pity they closed.

Canyon Beachwear in San Francisco was open until recently on Union Street. What happened for them to leave the neighborhood? They didn't seem to be having any trouble with attracting customers so I can't help but feel confused.

Good designs, a bit pricey. I like them. I am sure they will not close. They will continue to grow in 2017 with no closures.
