Whittier lost Carino's. In some ways, it wasn't much of a loss but whenever a business closes it is definitely a sad day for the community.

You're never ever going to find authentic Italian cuisine here in the US but if you want genuine, honest and tasty Italian-American cuisine then you absolutely need to go to Johnny Carino’s.

I heard that the lease was up and they decided not to renew it. Not sure if it's true but it is closed after all.

The restaurant underperformed really badly so it had to be cut. No way around it.

I hope they continue to thrive - I love Carinos and they are not closing absolutely no stores as of October 2016
