Why are Party City hours still the same? Shouldn't they reinstate their regular hours? Why do they open for such a short time?

I just found out in passing that Party City will close 20 stores before the end of their fiscal year of 2019. I was reading that the Randolph store closed because of a bad Halloween season. When did Party City ever have a bad Halloween season??

I said "oh, no" out loud when I learned of these news. It is pretty devastating. Party City will be closing next year in Williamsburg. If I remember correctly, they will close the 5225 Settlers Market Boulevard location in February. Sad.

People love this store for its fun and diverse offer of party supplies. The stores spokesperson said that its due to ongoing consumer, market and economic changes. Luckily, they still have their online store.

That's what I know so far. Party City always closed stores but they opened them, look what happened in December 2016 and you will see the full picture for now.

Are they really closing profitable stores? I mean, were they profitable to begin with? Why do people still go to Party City? Their stuff isn't of the highest quality (yet it is expensive anyway) and you have to wait for way too long in line to pay... — read more 

Could it? That is what I am asking. What does a "global helium shortage" even mean? All I am interested in is what will Party City now do. I could not bear it for them to shutter any more of their stores!

Anybody here who worked at one of these stores that closed this year? What were the signs of your store closing ahead of the announcement? I'm afraid that my store will close as well and I'd love to know those signs beforehand.

I know how Party City had issues lately so pleaaaseeee do not shut this store. Everyone loves it dearly. It's a nice, cute store and if they even think of closing it then I'll eat my hat. I wouldn't see any sense in doing so.

Anybody with a list of the closed Party City locations? Which ones will they be closing precisely? Is there a date set as well......??

Will this change anything? A new CEO for Party City was announced and I'm wondering if this might rejuvenate the company... he was previously the CEO of Petco before this job. Did he do well there? Just asking so that we know what to expect.

It's pretty sad that Party City at 750 Queen Street in Southington will not survive the round of closing that will be happening. They will be closing next year in January. How many other Connecticut Party City will be closing?
