Sadly the store is no longer open. I wished it wasn't so but sadly that's the truth of the matter. I dunno why it closed though.

It has been brought to my attention that the store has permanently closed its doors. When exactly did this take place? That comes as a huge blow to my family as we loved doing our shopping here when we visited my parents.

What a nice, clean store this Save-A-Lot was. I can believe that it would one day close but I couldn't believe how soon the closure had happened. There was nothing wrong with it that I know of. What a waste!

I liked it much more better than the old Safeway that was there before but now it looks that even Save A Lot couldn't survive in that location @ 514 Rhode Island Ave NE in Washington DC. Huge, huge bummer that it closed when it did.
