I wish that wouldn't happen. It's the best store in all of California. It doesn't seem likely either. Yankee Candle seems to be doing well here.
Everyone and their grandmother knows that mall stores have been struggling for a while now and they will continue to struggle until something is done about this issue. Look at Lehigh Valley for example. So many stores are leaving it. Yankee Candle is... — read more

Will there be any permanent closings next year for the company? I don't think that there will be any big closings exactly (I just don't see Yankee Candle close over a hundred stores for example) but if they do decide to close a store, it would be... — read more

Which is a really good thing too. I should have clarified that there haven't been any true openings per se - reopenings only actually, but one can hope that Yankee Candle might open some new stores soon. I know that seems unlikely during this... — read more

This closing caused me so much grief because I found out about them just as they were about to close. I bought everything that could be bought in that store and I don't regret my purchases. Great store that shouldn't have closed.
Bay Terrace Yankee Candle in Bayside closed in late October last year! That was so sad I almost teared up. I had such a fantastic time shopping there. Everyone was so sweet and it was probably the nicest place I shopped at in the area.
I don't like candle stores usually. I must have some sort of allergy because the smells just don't agree with me. However, I just couldn't resist this Yankee Candle. Allergy and all. I was feeling pretty down when it closed.
Man, I was so in love with this store while it was still open. I remember how much money I spent here and I don't consider any penny wasted. Great items and the employees were so charming too. Great salespeople for sure.

Sometimes, I just do not get store closures. I get when a store under-performs and the like but why close a busy and well-loved store? Like this Yankee Candle? What is the reasoning behind that decision? I simply just don't get it.
Some of the candle had the funkiest smell in the world, but you gotta find the silver lining in everything. They made for the best prank gifts ever and their prices weren't that bad either. Bummer that they closed their El Cajon store.
One of my co-workers said that the Yankee Candle store at 300 Monticello Avenue in Norfolk closed because of underperformance but I don't know if I can believe that. It was almost always packed when I was shopping there.
