Thread regarding Save-A-Lot in Hopewell store closing

The Save-a-Lot in Hopewell, Virginia, has been virtually bare with coolers and shelves mostly empty since at least January 2026. Seriously, the store has had almost no food since then. The hours were cut recently to 9 am–5 pm. Today (03/07/2026) I saw a sign by the door announcing the store was closing with no visible date. The same people who run this one run a Save-a-Lot on Mechanicsville Turnpike outside Richmond that is just as bare, so that one will probably go too.
