While they didn't confirm it at first outright, after it has been noticed that these five Alabama stores have been taken off their site Pier 1 finally said that yeah, they're closing after all. These ones will be closed soon:

- 1727 Montgomery Highway, Hoover
- 3787 Airport Blvd, Mobile
- 1525 Skyland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa
- 2863 S McKenzie Street, Foley
