This came as a big surprise, at least to me. If you told me that the hardware stores would be closing I would have told you to stop being silly. It was just too sudden and unexpected, the closings I mean.

Great store. I'm almost completely sure that the store closed last year. Maybe they closed this year too in January but again I can't confirm.

Just checked and yep, it's true. Ace Hardware closed on 148 N San Tomas Aquino Rd a few months ago in Campbell. If my memory serves me correctly that store was planning to close for ages and it seems that they finally did it.

What a good store this was. I hated seeing this Ace Hardware close. They should have thought this over.

That nice Ace Hardware on 944 S Indiana Street closed last year. It had great prices great quality and great quality merchandize. It's never a good thing when stores like that close. Los Angeles is filled with average and even downright horrible... — read more 

Everytime I needed a special sc--w, spring, etc for engineering, I could always run to ACE to find it. Lowes and Home Depot don't hold a candle to ACE's sc--w/spring/fastener collection. Really sad seeing them close.

Ace Hardware is no longer keeping the 1701 Sauk Trail store open anymore. It closed due to unknown reasons.

Schaumburg proved not to place to be for Ace Hardware.

This is an observation I made five years ago and I can safely say that I can make this statement today as well. Nothing improved between 2019 and 2024 and I'm worried for the chain's future.

Hmmm, I havent been in any of the stores for long time. I do not even see ACE around any more.

Not closed and well supplied - Hiawassee is one of the better stores they own. I used to work there - I hope they are fine in future. Lowe's is laying off right now, Home Depot had layoffs last year, no store closings though.

I know people who have worked at their stores for decades and I wish that for myself. Can I expect something like that while working at Ace Hardware? This job is godsend and I'm doing my best here. Can I hope for the best?
