Scottsboro JCPenney was always a pretty great store. Closings happen, I know. But I just thought that JCPenney might have spared their Scottsboro location since it's so great. No such luck, however.

Can't we get this over with already? It's agonizing seeing a store I liked closing forever. Just close it and be done with it.

This doesn't make the closing easier to accept. In fact, on May 16th when the store at Virginia Center Commons closes, I'm gonna take a long-a– nap and when I wake up I will convince myself that this JCPenney closing was just a bad dream.

Went in today 7/28/2022 and there was an enormous amount of clearance and the sephora was empty except for brushes and samples. 2 employees that were seen.

JC Penney Home Store in the Westridge Shopping Center in Clive is closing, and the store is being consolidated. Not sure if any of the people will be laid off as part of this just yet.

There are 7 JCP stores in SD. Four Will Close. Three will remain to operate. Stores in Mitchell, Pierre, Watertown and Yankton will begin liquidation in mid-April and will close in July or June.
