JCPenney's fall from grace is hard to watch. My cousin informed me that he got the boot in the recent layoffs the company just had. He took it hard. I feel so bad for everyone. 650 jobs cut, just like that.

JCPenney is closing this Sunday on the North Olympic Peninsula. Come May 16, Sequim will lose the ancient retailer that was open for almost a century. Depressing. Thanks JCPenney for everything!

I miss that store. I know that the store wasn't that liked by other folk but I loved it. Great shopping experience every time I stepped foot in it. God, why did it have to close?

Will JCPenney disappear? Maybe not this year or even the next but maybe in 2023? Will the company that we all knew for decades just vanish, just like that, solely because they faced so many troubles over the years? That's too sad to even imagine.

Despite the bankruptcy and the announcement that 200 stores are closing, JCPenney did manage to reopen 150 stores again.

My favorite store, I stop whenever in the area. I live in western nd. There are so many people in the area who will have to travel 2 hrs to shop if this closes!

I think 2017 will be the year of big closures for JC Penney - I really doubt that the corporation will have any stores open in 2018

JC Penney has been going downhill for years. There's hardly ever a lot of people in their stores and they never have Really good sales. They have 5-7% off sales and at the most 15% off once in a while.

I'm surprised they have 140 stores left. Odd that they would have any expectations about Millennials spending money in their stores. Millennials really don't have any money.

Unfortunately this trend with department store retail has been going on for awhile. The mall era of the late seventies and eighties is slowly coming to an end. It sure won't help Trumps promise for more jobs.

When the Andalusia store closed I felt such sadness overcome me. It's kinda stupid since it's just a store but for many, that JCPenney wasn't just a business. I felt like it was part of the town's character and I think many would agree with me.

It closed here sometime in October last year. Too bad.

Such a huge surprise to me that the JCPenney store in the Yreka Junction Mall shuttered. I thought it would be open there in Yreka forever. Like a c—roach.

We should expect JCPenney to shutter in the Sturbridge Plaza sometime soon. I don't know when that will happen exactly but I think it's safe to assume it will happen in the next couple of months.

JCPenney closing in Cleveland... terrible! Is there nothing we can do to bring the store back? I hate to see so many of JCPenney's stores close this way.

That was probably my favorite JCPenney store of all time. My heart shattered into million pieces when it closed in September last year.
