I think this was a Sears Hometown store. Now all of the Hometown stores are closing too. Following in the footsteps of this store in Great Bend I guess.
Sears is closing all Hometown stores across the country and there ought to be quite a few good closing sales going on now. It would be a good time to go visit the Hometown stores before they're completely gone now.
No, LESS than two dozen stores are left. What a fall from grace! All the rest have closed. Sears used to have stores numbering in the hundreds and now... where are they? Nowhere to be... — read more
Not a shock to anyone I'm sure to see the Sears in Hartsville close. I'm just surprised that Sears has any stores left.
I just got the saddest notification ever. I was scrolling down Facebook and saw that Sears Hometown on 100 Broadway Street in Sterling is closing for good 😔. There are store closing posters and "Everything Must Go" signs on the page and it's real... — read more
Goodbye Sears! https://wrrv.com/newburgh-mall-sears-closed/ This was a rather bitter end to a retail empire that dominated the past. I can't say that I will miss the company. Everything has to come to an end eventually.
I'm not surprised to read these news. There have been several rumors for months now that Sears was closing. We just waited to see when it will happen... of course, just because we saw it coming doesn't mean that we as a community support the closure... — read more
Yikes. The store wasn't even open for a year. Sears has really lost its touch. https://www.jsonline.com/story/communities/south/news/cudahy/2022/08/25/sears-hometown-close-cudahy-after-less-than-year-business/7882339001/
There is no precise closing date set yet but it has been confirmed that the very last Hawaii store will be closing for good. Sears called it quits in Honolulu!
Vaguely knowing Sears is closing stores was always a bit weird to me since I grew up with the company. However seeing the store emptying out with my own two eyes is another experience altogether. Yeah the store wasn't open for even a year but it... — read more
I've just seen the news that the Sears will be closing this week for good and it felt to me like it came out of the blue. I didn't expect it. However, the store is closing because the owners are retiring which I think is completely fair. I wasn't mad... — read more

Closed in Pleasanton CA! Which store is next on the chopping block ?
This is old news but Sears closed this store a couple of years ago.
It was to be expected that Sears would close here. I think that only a few hundred Sears stores are left in the country. I think that number will only get smaller and smaller as time goes on.
My Sears closed last year. It broke my heart when it happened. It's the place I've been shopping at for more than four decades. Yes, I saw it deteriorate over the years but it was still my favorite spot. Seeing that the whole thing is now falling... — read more
The Sears Grand store that opened in the mid-2000s closed rather unceremoniously recently and I'm still pretty bitter about it. That store didn't need to close and yet it did.
The store is nearly mythical. It's iconic! I can't believe that Sears will close Boyle Heights. I'm just so flabbergasted. I mean, the gall!
Anyone else sad about the closing? Personally, I don't feel that strongly about it. Sears has been dead to me for some time now. It's a shadow of its former... — read more
https://lbpost.com/news/los-altos-sears-added-to-list-of-stores-that-will-close Shameful! What about all the people who still frequented this store? Is this the way you treat your loyal customers?
Is this closing disheartening? Of course. Is it out of the blue? No. I love this store. I do. I'm sad that it is closing but I knew that its time had come.
So yet another anchor store at the Dulles Town Center Mall is closing and this time (unsurprisingly) it's Sears. We all knew this was coming sooner or later. The company wasn't exactly that lucky these past few years and mall stores in general are in... — read more
I just can't come to terms with these massive Sears closures. Last I heard the very last Sears location in Louisiana is closing. Maybe they have already closed in Baton Rouge now. It's just horrible.
Saw all those terrible store closing signs plastered all over the store and it's such a sad sight, I can't even lie.
Found out that Sears will close the Merritt Square Mall store in early May of this year. Sad but not surprising with the current state of the mall and Sears itself.
Sears is closing this store too https://www.presstelegram.com/2021/02/16/sears-in-long-beach-la-orange-among-the-latest-store-closures/
This is so crazy to me. That a giant like Sears can close so many stores that they end up being left with only 31. They will probably close more stores. Why stop at 31, right? That's just so so so insane to me. Imagine that in the end there is only... — read more

So, Sears is gonna close two of their last remaining department stores in north Texas. Huh. Their stores at the Parks Mall at Arlington and Hulen Mall in Fort Worth have going out of business signs. Sad.
