Sears Optical has sent out information to its clients via email on Friday, January 24 that it is closing. The notice listed other optical retailers that accept vision insurance offered by Transformco.

Two of them will close mid-January this year. Shame.

The Sears in Santa Maria will create almost 90 job cuts. I know that it's a store that didn't do well financially and I know that it needs to close but God! Almost 90 people will be left jobless in two months in February!

And yet another unsuccessful Sears is closing. This time it's a mall store in the Danbury Fair location. The store will sadly close next year for good. That just feels bad. I'm not a huge fan of the store but it was a nice place.

Liquidation sales have begun at the Sears at Freehold Raceway Mall. When it closes for good Jersey Shore will be left without any Sears stores. That's kind of strange to think about since Sears was such a common sight everywhere.

Sears will leave this location permanently next year in only two months (it's December now... man, how time flies by so quickly) in February. Very sad if you ask me. It is by far the loveliest store in the mall.

sears is gonna close its "last mall-anchored sears store" in las Vegas !!! I was never a huge fan of sears but truly I do have to admit that this is really an end of an era in the retail business. their "closing sale" is gonna start in December .

Good grief, Sears will shutter even at the Mall at Whitney Field in Leominster? I spend so much time (and money!) at that store. It's a wonderful location. Does it really need to be shuttered like their other stores?

Won't lie, I am a little heart-broken. Lovely store but the liquidation sale for the South Burlington Sears at the University Mall is to commence anyway next month on December 2nd and it will be gone by February next year.

Sears in Lansing is one of the 51 Sears stores that will shutter by February next year. An employee of the store told be the liquidation sale should start at the beginning of October. There is no going back, they're shuttering the store for real.

Knew that Sears would be closing their Aberdeen store on 1219 S Boone St. Somehow I knew it. It just couldn't last anymore, which is a tragedy since it is a great store. Not the best Sears store, but definitely one of the better ones.

This is the world we live in. You must keep up with the changing times and reinvent yourself, otherwise you as a company won't be able to stay afloat in this current retail climate. Very sad. The Staten Island Mall lost one of their best stores.

Sears was one of my most loved stores at the Lake Square Mall in Leesburg, Florida. Didn't know that it is one of the many stores that will be shuttering this December. Truly disheartening to know that they won't be in that mall anymore.

Silverdale will soon be left without a great Sears store, since the Sears in Kitsap Mall will be closing. Even though no date has been given as to when it will leave the mall, it is nevertheless showing all signs of an upcoming closure.
